Editing Consultations include:
A one-hour Skype call where the editor shares his/her screen and completes a line edit of a minimum of 1,000 words of your manuscript (The opening pages are recommended for this in order to get the most out of the consult.)
The editor explains every change and discusses ways to improve the excerpt. Editor will also give advice on editing techniques for the rest of the manuscript.

Editing Consultations can be used to:
Help you decide if you need an editor
Show you what an editor can do for your manuscript
Teach you to do some self-editing to prepare manuscripts for submission to editors or publishers
All Editing Consults will be scheduled within two weeks of submission. We do not accept advance scheduling.
Author must have the latest version of Skype and the ability to talk on Skype via a headset or microphone.
Minimum submission is 5,000 words. We often go past the 1,000 words, depending on the condition of the manuscript. (Exceptions to the minimum word count will be made for complete short stories that are less than 5,000 words.)
Submissions must be .doc or .docx.
Purchasing an editing consultation in no way obligates an author to use our editing services.
